2004

January 1, 2004                  Portsmouth, Epping, Manchester

"For one hour there were three possible communicating UFO’s above Rte. 101.  We were driving back from Portsmouth.  As we got on 101 west we saw a bright light to the south.  It was not moving at all.  As we got close it moved away.  We continued and the object was sometimes even with us, then ahead, and even in back of us.  The object would appear and reappear randomly.  At one point, the flashing reds changed their flash pattern and the bright white light to the south dimmed to almost nothing, changed to an orange color, changed to flashing red and the last we saw was when they were over Lake Massabesic in Manchester.  All three looked like they could have been stars, but they moved.  Three people saw this for one hour.”

At 7:00 pm, “My mother and I looked out our living room window to see a bright red light, rather oval, just floating down through the trees, about a mile away.  It looked like it was landing on the lake.  I called the police in case a plane in distress had gone down on the frozen lake.  Nothing was found.”

February 2004                     Belmont

"I was standing outside; I looked up because I saw a light out of the corner of my eye.  It was a white light that just appeared.  It was an oval, white, steady light that moved silently, zigzagging up and down, but still moving west towards Sanbornton.  It repeated the same pattern of going up and down and left; it went away, stopped and hovered about thirty seconds, then moved a distance, stop and hover.  It disappeared when the light just went out.  It definitely was not an airplane or explainable.  Nothing moves that fast. There was another adult witness.  The sighting lasted about five minutes.”               Source:  www.nhufo.org

February 1, 2004                 Colebrook

At 8:15 pm, “I was traveling southbound on Rte. 3 and saw a bright white light on horizon just south of Mount Monadnock.  It was bright and kept my attention for the next hour. I left Colebrook for Newport, VT, and light appeared to be moving slowly towards my location.  I continued to look at it occasionally at it and then it exploded into green light, which illuminated the CT River Valley on both N.H. and VT side.   The bright white light exploded into green light and small tendrils coming down to ground.”

March 9, 2004                      Dover

At 6:45 pm, a “Triangular shaped object floating or moving very slowly near Rte. 16 between exits 8 and 9.  I was driving home from work when I saw a triangular shaped object floating, or moving very slowly, ahead of me to the left.  I could see brightly colored lights on the bottom of it and two bright headlights at the front of it.  It was one to two hundred feet off the highway and about one hundred feet in the air.  It seemed to be surrounded by a light layer of fog.  I got off the road to see it again at 6:55 pm.  It flew over the road right in front of me.  It looked to be triangular and had two very bright headlights in front.  It was not going very fast, no more than twenty-five to fifty miles per hour.  The object was very quiet, for fifteen minutes it didn’t make a sound.”

"I awoke and glanced out my window to see what looked like a helicopter hovering over the trees…I could not see a tail section or rotor…I opened the window to hear, but heard nothing…the egg shape was point down and it seemed to fade in and out slightly…I could see a faint purplish gas or hue at and around the bottom which would appear and disappear…then it just faded away.”

April 10, 2004                       Tilton

At 9:10 pm,      “I first noticed the craft in the southern sky just above the tree line.  It was traveling through the valley at low altitude.  It turned north, over the trees, about three hundred yards away.  As I was taping, it crossed over the road and started coming towards me, then west and out of my field of vision.  The craft was blinking and slowly flew right above Winnisquam High School.  It was a triangle that rotated slowly.  It flew in a large circle that went around my house.  The object was very large and completely silent.  It flew towards Franklin until I could no longer see it.”

At 9:30 pm, the “Witness went for a walk; back at home he sat outside taking in the night air, when something caught his eye.  He turned and looked up; it was a craft that glided over the tree line.  It made no sound.  It had no lights.  It had three white bands on its underside.  It kind of looked like a stealth bomber but much smaller, more like a two-seater airplane.  It moved at a good clip, but not super fast.  Then it disappeared.”

May (1st week) 2004          N.H./VT Border

At 2:00 pm, “I live in Central Vermont and was taking photos in the central, eastern area close to the N.H. border.  This was on Route 302, just east of the small town of Groton, VT.  I accidentally photographed some sort of UFO.  As can be seen in the raw digital photos, the objects are very distant, but when magnified, the small spec is not the shape of a plane.  There are two UFO’s, one that looks rectangular; the other is too blurry to make out a shape.  It took off quickly towards the stratosphere.  The whole event was three to five minutes.”

At 11:00 pm, “I was in my hot tub, in back yard, with my family and we saw lights in the sky.  They were too high to be earth aircraft.  One was white and hovering from left to right and then zoomed off into space.  Two blue craft were racing to the northeast and disappeared into space and were gone. Four people watched five objects with lights.”

"Yellow, orange, red blinking lights on a sphere moving east rapidly.  The lights were moving up and down and side-to-side.  It was not making much movement, until all of a sudden it started to move up very quickly.  It then started moving east still blinking until it was almost right over us.  The shape could be made out as a sphere with blinking, rotating lights on the sides.  The rate at which it moved across the sky was incredibly fast.  It went out of sight.  Sighting lasted twenty minutes.”

At 9:07 pm, “I have on video tape, a disc with a very bright, rapid, strobe light that flew through the valley in which the Winnipesaukee River runs.  The object was extremely low and traveled slowly through a gap in the trees at the edge of my yard.  I did manage to tape it as it flew behind the trees, but it never came back.  It was very bright and had a strobe that flashed continuously in an uneven pattern.”

Summer 2004                      Laconia

"While fishing with two friends late at night on Lake Winnisquam, I looked up and saw a black triangle, without any lights on, just hovering silently in the same spot high in the sky, directly above our heads.  It blocked out all the stars and made it easy to see the shape, but hard to see anything else.  We watched it for about five minutes, it slowly moved away and out of sight."

At 9:00 to 10:00 pm,  “Witness was parked at the boat ramp area of Little Turkey Pond…first he thought he was seeing an airplane but realized it was too large and hovering, blotting out a huge area of the sky.  It was an extremely large triangular object and had a red, green and blue light, each to a corner.  The lights separated and traveled in different directions only to rejoin moments later.  It then just left, it vanished.  No sound was heard, no smells.”

"While looking at stars in the sky, I see something that I thought was a star, start to move.  Then it stopped.  My friend and I watched this object that looked like a simple star, dart across the sky, stop, and then quickly jerk in the opposite direction.  We’ve gone back there many times after that night and we almost always see these objects.  One night I was looking up and saw what I thought was an octagonal constellation, then one of the stars broke off and started moving, then another would break off.”

"Two very strong bright lights moving slowly north and away from earth, for thirty-five seconds.  They began to dim and get dimmer, less visible.  After about one minute another object with red-orange light traveled in straight line and did not vary in brightness and did not appear to be encountering earth’s atmosphere.”

“I filmed a sighting in which a smaller object separates from the main craft and leads in formation.  The object did not perform a separation.  They slowly and silently flew from the southwest directly towards me and then started heading back in the same direction.  I estimate the size of the object to be three hundred to four hundred feet.  Part one of the video is the craft flying at me and over me.  Part two is the craft leaving as I film it from behind.”

At 9:32 pm, “I had the fourth opportunity to tape a triangle.  I noticed something flying through the valley behind my house.  It slowly traveled beneath the tree line and it was very large.  It slowly rose above the trees and headed north.  My girlfriend watched with binoculars as it slowly flew over the cemetery down the road, and she could see the structure of the craft.  We heard no sound but dogs began barking from both sides of the neighborhood.  It then started traveling towards us and I taped until our roof blocked it out and I had to run down to the parking lot.  The craft was immense; it flew right over the field behind the high school and was at about one thousand feet or more and still not making a sound.  I started taping for a little bit and then ran across the street into the school parking lot to get closer.  There were now two objects, and after watching the tape, it clearly showed that the object separates into two different types of craft.  One was an odd cluster of lights and the other an obvious triangle.  I was able to film both the front and the back of the objects in formation and separately.  They again crossed over the road and for the second time began blinking lights randomly trying to mimic an airplane.  As it left, it made a circle around my house and then it looks like it is once again one single craft.”

At 7:35 pm, “Witness was driving north on Court Street and saw a flash about three to four hundred feet above ground.  Looked like a plane going down on fire or scud missile being shot down.  A blue light in front was followed by huge streaking fire.  Called police, there was no information.”

October and November 2004        Hudson

"Mysterious blasts, flashes in the sky have residents rattled.  Witness saw a bright flash light up the clouds.  About three seconds later came the boom and deep thump that shook his entire house.  From Hudson, N.H. to the Chelmsford, MA line, the area has been rocked with well over a dozen of these mysterious, pulsating booms over the past five weeks, rattling both windows and nerves.  All reported incidents have occurred after dark, mostly between 7:00 and 9:00 pm.  Nearly all of them have been reported on Mondays and Tuesdays.  When the bangs were first heard police called the FAA, thinking they must have been sonic booms from aircraft.  They were not.  Callers initially reported seeing bright flashes of lights near the Merrimack River.  Most of the flashes were white, but other witnesses have reported seeing orange and red flashes.  One resident said he saw blue lightening-like streaks. On November 1, police received dozens of calls reporting at least six incidents between 7:30 and 9:30 pm. More booms were heard on November 2, 9, 23 and 30.  No one has reported finding any evidence of explosions; such as burn marks, splintered wood, or rock or other debris.  Police searched the woods with ATV’s.”

November 6, 2004              Ashland

At 5:30 pm, “There were five ovoid shaped objects, just as I was exiting Rte. 93 at Ashland exit; two objects caught my attention in the dark sky.  They seemed to take turns blinking on and off so that when one blinked off the other would blink on and they appeared to leap frog each other from left to right as they moved at a forty-five degree angle down to a thirty degree angle within a ten second time frame.  There also seemed to be a black component to the shiny flashes as well.  After the two objects abruptly disappeared into the thin clouds, they did about three blinks off and on each.  Something else caught my attention over to the right.  One by one in quick succession appeared what looked like three mid-sized stars in a string.  They were approximately sixty degrees above the horizon and not so far apart.  After the third star blinked on, all three blinked out simultaneously.  This all took place in about twelve seconds.”

"The object was behind the trees and moving slowly.  I filmed it moving northwest over my neighbor’s yard.  It then appeared to implode or fade out.  I believe it knew I was taping it and it flew off away from the camera.  It shot up into the atmosphere and disappeared.  It had appeared to be a false star.”

December 1, 2004                            Franklin

“It was a windy December night, approximately 9:30 pm.  Me and my husband, daughter and son were all in the living room, everyone but my son who was four then, was awake and watching a movie…all of a sudden my eyes glanced over to the top of my curtain rod and I noticed all these bright colors, red, blue, pink and purple lights swirling around and I realized that it wasn’t ordinary for those lights to be there.  I jumped up, ran over to the window and opened the curtains, and I saw really bright, beautiful lights oscillating around, kind of rotating into each other…it seemed like it was sitting over the house…as my husband went out to see what it was and while I was still watching, suddenly they were gone.  I ran over to the door and asked him what he saw, and he said the minute he got out there, there was nothing.  There was no sound…I called the Franklin Police to find out if there was any low planes…she checked and said no.  I proceeded to tell her what happened and the officer sitting next to her heard what we were talking about and said a man traveling on Route 4 in Boscawen had called two weeks earlier with the same kind of sighting.”

At 10:36 pm, “I went outside to scan the sky and I saw what at first I thought were two stars in the eastern sky.  At first I thought the top was a BOL slowly moving north, but after I looked closer, the object was a star and the one underneath it was moving south.  It was traveling high in the sky, slowly, and looked like a large star to the naked eye.  I zoomed in and noticed a cluster of lights.  At one point it began changing intensity and color, from a white to red and yellow.  The craft was totally silent.”                                             Source:  www.jerrypippin.com

December 17, 2004             Plymouth, Tilton

“Paul Spera and his girlfriend were on the highway and noticed something hovering in the eastern sky.  They pulled over.  He videotaped the object hovering motionless at around two thousand feet up.  A plane at about five thousand feet altitude was traveling towards it from the south.  The object began to slowly move away.  When analyzing the clip, it clearly shows the object changes color and strobes brightly.”  Later the same evening, Second Sighting: “My girlfriend and I were sky watching.  I noticed a large cluster of lights flying over our back yard.  It was traveling southwest at one to two thousand feet up.  I had filmed the same object the night before, but this time it was closer.  It appeared to have one large light surrounded by smaller lights, which were all bright white forming the shape of a ramp.  It had no strobes and was completely silent.  I taped the object as it slowly flew between the gaps of trees in the backyard.  It can be seen flying behind the trees.” video Third sighting:  “At first I thought it was an airplane, it flew low and was traveling east.  It began going higher, headed north.  The object was red and randomly   "flashed brilliant lights that seemed like a flashbulb and almost had the intensity of a lightning strike.  The object changed speeds as it flew over, and at one point almost hovered.  It was a quarter mile away and made no noise.  It went northeast until out of sight.”  Videos’ were taken of each sighting.
